On her passion:
One of my biggest passions is promoting body positivity and self-love among women. Growing up, i never looked like the average pretty and skinny girl so i had to learn to love and embrace myself as i am. I hope to spread that with among all women, all ages so that we can be a community of women who support each other instead of tearing each other down.
On body image and self-worth:
I was lucky enough to find and build my confidence on my own from a young age. I had to learn to love and accept and celebrate my body for what it was instead of focusing on what it was not. I had a lot of people who would point out to me that i was chubbier and should be skinnier but somehow, super young 12-year-old Ange was strong enough not to listen to them and love herself instead. I don't know where i learned to do that or how i managed to learn that on my own, but I'm glad i did. It was one of the most important things I could ever teach myself and the thing i hold closest to my spirit.
Without self-worth and a postive body image, i think i wouldn't be where or who i was today. My self-worth is what pushes me on to do better things and do more constantly. It's such an important thing for people, not just women, to find in themselves.
Words she would have like to have heard at the most vulnerable point in her life:
"You are enough. You are worth it. You are important. You are capable."
On Alba:
Alba is one of the few brands out there that i love to support because they actually stand by their message and make sure to be inclusive and promote self love. Their message is a powerful one that i think is so timely for our generation. I'm glad that there is a brand like this for younger girls to look to that i never had and wish i did when i was growing up.
