I think in every single thing I do, I make sure there is direction and purpose. But if I were to pick one thing I live out in every day that affects those around me, I believe in kindness the most. It doesn't cost anything or take much to be kind to whoever you meet, whoever you encounter, and whoever you're with. The smallest acts of kindness go a long way.
On Body Image:
I used to be fat-shamed as a kid by my siblings, believe it or not! That initially drove me to prove them wrong and show them I wasn't an ugly duckling by dieting and going to the gym everyday (at 12 years old!). Eventually, as fitness became part of my lifestyle, it became more than just doing it for the sake of other people's opinions. I think confidence is found by your attention on what you already have, not what you lack. Be you and be you 100%. This holds true to finding myself again after constant judgment during my high school years. Don't ever listen to anyone else's opinions if they don't even know you. But make sure you aren't hurting anyone with who you're being either.
Words she would have like to have heard at the most vulnerable point in her life:
Probably "you aren't a bad person, you just chose the wrong decisions. But you can always have a second chance". These were the years I was being reckless. I think if I didn't have people who loved, believed, and supported me, I would have been lost in that dark place, forever on a journey to nowhere.
When I think of Alba, of course I think about my girls! More than how adorable they've branded it, I love and believe the women behind it. They are boss ladies and I respect them completely. I wouldn't have been willing to work with them if I didn't trust who they are as women.
